Navarre Beach Real Estate

Navarre Beach is a laid back beach community on the Gulf coast and one of the Northwest Florida Panhandles ‘best kept secrets’. Encompassing a quaint barrier island, nearly centrally located between Destin and Pensacola Beach. Home to just over 1,000 residents, locally owned and operated restaurants and an eclectic grouping of beach shops. Navarre Beach is famous for it’s sprawling miles of protected preserve, white sand beaches, aquatic wildlife and plentiful shells for collecting.

A happy blend of full-time and part-time residents, along with vacation goers provide year round support of outdoor activities and the local economy. Those who come for the beach, stay for the small town vibe and laid back ‘local’ lifestyle.

Notorious for one of the longest fishing piers extending over the Gulf of Mexico, Navarre Pier (currently undergoing renovations) offers daily fishing and walking passes from the gift shop at the front gate of the pier. Watch professional fishermen/women and hobbyist’s alike reel in redfish, grouper, snapper, etc.. One might see a blue heron or two attempting to steal fish bait! Many times a pod of dolphins will be swimming just off shore, stingrays will splash in the waves, and loggerhead and green turtles will surface as if to greet their guests.

Navarre Beach is home to a protected sea turtle habitat where nesting and hatching of thousands of baby sea turtles takes place along the beach every year from May through October. If you’re fortunate enough to catch sight of the hatchlings making their journey to the Gulf of Mexico, it’s a sight to behold and one you’ll never forget. Please remember sea turtles are an endangered species and are to be left alone. Also be sure to fill in any holes you dig so the baby sea turtles don’t fall in!
